Seems like I'm always talking about the weather. Yes, I'm a weather junkie, I love it. I guess I get that from Dad and all he has taught me over the years. On one of our visits over the years, Dad told me to just look up at the stars at night when I was missing him, that he gazed at the stars every night and that somehow connected us for many years. After my folks got divorced Dad kind of went off on his own and did his own thing. I kept in touch with him and tried to see him when I could, but it was not too often, especially once he left the West Coast. So, I looked up at the stars quite a bit in my 20's and early 30's!!
Enough of that. It's cold outside. Not quite as cold as it was at 8am this morning when we were out feeding critters. It was definitely cold then, as it was -5 on our back deck. But if you dress for it, it's not really that cold. (That's what I tell Dave anyway). And never let your head or hands get cold. If you do you are sunk! But, if you make sure you have appropriate clothing for cold weather you can stay quite toasty. There are times that we've been snow skiing in the West and gotten so warm that you ski without a coat. Hard to imagine, but it's true.
Speaking of skiing, Dave and I are heading out for a couple of days of skiing after the February paper prints. We have found a place in North Carolina that we intend to try out. We've not skied in the East yet, but I'll let you all know how it goes.
Guess I'd better quit rambling and get some work done. Before I know it, Dave will be home and we'll be back outside feeding those critters! Have a great Friday and stay safe (and warm!).
